About

To improve the performance of autonomous mobile systems, particularly aerial vehicles. Subteam 1: IGNTE (Inference and Guidance for Navigation in Thermal Environments) Fires are an ever-present danger to both the environment and human safety. Our team uses autonomous systems to assess and mitigate these disasters. We focus on improving the capabilities of ground and aerial drones, making them smarter, more resilient, and better able to survive harsh thermal conditions. This is a simulation-oriented team, and you’ll get hands-on experience with system modeling, autonomy and multi-agent environments. Subteam 2: Multi-Agent Autonomy in Adversarial Environments As UAV usage in adversarial environments becomes more prominent, coordination between teams of agents is crucial for mission success. This VIP group focuses on applying artificial intelligence and trajectory optimization algorithms into multiagent, simulated, six-degree-of-freedom aerial engagements to leverage teaming against adversaries. As a part of this team, you will gain experience in flight dynamics simulation, multiagent environments, modern and classical AI algorithms, and game theory.
